Traeger Side Dishes: Grilled Corn on the Cob and Roasted Asparagus

You’ve got the main dish nailed down–now it’s time to pick your sidekicks. We’ve got two versatile veggie recipes that are sure to hit the spot. Our tender, buttery grilled corn on the cob, and perfectly roasted asparagus are simple, flavorful, and go with just about anything.  

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Fresh corn is given a Traeger Veggie Shake rubdown, grilled on the Traeger, then doused in a buttery finish for the perfect summer side. grilled corn on the cob

Ingredients:

  • 8 Whole Ears Fresh Corn
  • Olive Oil
  • Traeger Veggie Rub
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter

Directions:

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Peel back corn husks and remove the silk. Rub corn with olive oil and season with Veggie rub, salt and pepper. Close husks and place directly on the grill grate. Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally until corn is tender. Serve hot with butter and enjoy!

Roasted Asparagus

For an easy side vegetable, sprinkle asparagus with salmon shake; it’s refreshingly zesty and makes grill roasted asparagus taste delicious. With Traeger Salmon spice, asparagus will be your new favorite veggie.

Ingredients: roasted asparagus

  • 2 Bunch asparagus
  • 4 Tablespoon olive oil, plus more as needed
  • As Needed Traeger Veggie Rub

Directions:

Coat asparagus with olive oil and Veggie Rub, stirring to coat all pieces. When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Place asparagus directly on the grill grate for 15-20 minutes. Remove from grill and enjoy!
